I recommend not installing it until it is updated to work with your version of KSP. If it is not, then this is probably what was causing the crashes. Take a look at "versions." Make sure that the version highlighted in green at the top is the version of KSP that you have. Versions: What versions of KSP this mod will work with. If KSP doesn't crash, start KSP and cause the problem. Game configuration files are corrupted or have other issues Rare issue, but the solution can fix some strange/random/rare. Solution: Verifying files can fix about 30 of the crash reports. ![]() Game files are corrupted or out of sync This happens to a few players after major updates. You can find this folder in the KSP install directory. Here are some known causes of crashes (usually crashes during game launch) and their potential solutions. Usually a window will pop up ingame asking you to send this information to the developers, along with the name of the folder. Metadata: Title, Author, and Description Above the sidebar, there will be four tabs: Metadata (The one you're looking at,) Relationships, Contents, and Versions. When installing mods via CKAN, there is a little sidebar that shows the metadata (title, description, author) of the mod you have selected. Granted, some crashes are inevitable when modding KSP, in fact I'd say that goes for lots of other games. Seeing your issues, I'd say that the cause of your crashes is running out of memory, KSP handles memory pretty bad, and you are often out of memory, crashing the game. It is very hard to get the cause of a crash just from a very brief explanataion. When you're done, select "Apply Changes." Please read this for stock KSP issues reporting and this for modded issues reporting. Enter the titles of your mods into the search bar, and check them off. Now, if you'd like to reinstall your mods, get out your list of mods from earlier and open CKAN again. If you've done all that and your game is still crashing, then I don't think I can help you. If your game is still crashing, then make sure you've followed all of the previous steps and install CKAN if you have to. if your game dosen't crash, then you're in the clear for now. This file contains a log of tools used up until the crash as well as some other debug information. Usually, this file is written in the Temporary Directory directory. This step is optional if you want to save time, but if you like you can boot up KSP and try all the things that caused your game to crash. When Blender crashes, it writes out a text file which contains information that may help identify the cause of the crash. Now open CKAN, filter the mods by the ones you have installed and uncheck all of them (If applicable.) Select "Apply changes." Wait for the process to finish.
